20. Ibiza


Sitting at the legendary Cafe del Mar watching the sunset over the Mediterranean, hitting the dance floor at the world’s largest nightclub Privilege, partying at Space as the sun rises over the Terrace – there’s quite a few ‘reality check’ moments in Ibiza. It is THE party capital of the world attracting nearly six million tourists each year.

The Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Queensland in northeastern Australia, is the largest living thing on Earth, and even visible from outer space. Snorkel or dive into the thousands of reefs home to countless species of colourful fish, turtles, dolphins and sharks. A sight you wont ever forget.

Cycle the worlds most dangerous road, “Death Road” in Bolivia. Take on the challenge using mountain bikes, dropping an incredible 3600 metres in a couple of hours, from a literally breathtaking altitude of 4750m and snow, to the steaming valley floor of the Amazon Jungle. Certainly not for the faint-hearted.

Everybody knows at least two things about Budapest: the city is famous for its thermal baths and that its inhabitants love to party. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that some of the most unique parties in the capital take place in these hot thermal waters. The most popular thermal bath in Budapest, Szechenyi Spa & Baths is famous for its summer night spa parties, sparties, for short. Think the ultimate pool party, but instead in thermal baths in the middle of the night.

Bay to Breakers is an annual footrace in San Francisco, California on the third Sunday of May. Participants run up the iconic Hayes Street Hill, along the Panhandle and through Golden Gate Park, while the city of San Francisco cheers them on. It is a quintessential San Fran experience that has attracted participants from all over the globe.



15. Hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru



The Inca Trail is by far the most famous trek in South America, if not the world. In just 26 miles (43km) it manages to combine beautiful mountain scenery, lush cloud-forest, subtropical jungle and, of course, a stunning mix of Inca paving stones, ruins and tunnels. The final destination of the trail just cannot be beaten: Machu Picchu, the mysterious “Lost City of the Incas”.

If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, head over to New Zealand, also known as the “adventure capital.” Skydive out of planes, bungee jump off bridges, go glacier hiking and then finish your day off by relaxing in the vineyards.

The Oktoberfest is a sixteen-day festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany during late September (and running to early October). There’s fourteen massive tents with what seems like all the beer in Germany where you can sing, dance and cheers along with all your new friends!

Although you may be alone while taking a solo trip, you’ll never feel lonely. It is liberating and rewarding in a way few other experiences can match. You’ll be the master of your itinerary, you’ll make closer friendships, you’ll become independent, confident and learn things about yourself that you wouldn’t have otherwise.

Vegas is one big party that’s certainly not for the empty pocketed. Dance until the sun down in one of Vegas’ world famous pool parties before hitting up the casinos. Party too hard? Don’t worry, take a quick trip to Hangover Heaven to rid your hangover and you’ll be good to go again that night. Only in Vegas.

World famous waterfalls, salt flats, zip lining through rainforests and swimming with sea lions – South America is a world of fun and incredible experiences. It’s a photographer’s playground with so many vibrant colours, interesting cultures and people, and amazing light to capture it all.

Young travellers (about 20,000) gather every month on a beach in Koh Phangan, a remote Thai island and dance the night away in front of a strip of bars and clubs pumping out dance music. It is an all night party, so dance the night away until the sun comes up on the eponymous sunrise beach. Hundreds of thousands travelers over the past 25 years claim it’s the best party they’ve ever been to.

Without doubt, one of the craziest and best weeks of my life was yacht week in Croatia. Wake up jumping into crystal clear waters and then partying it up until sunrise on a new island every night! You’ll make memories and friendships of a lifetime.

2. Tomorrowland



Tomorrowland is one of the biggest electronic music festivals held in the world, taking place in Belgium. In 2016, Tomorrowland sold out 185,000 tickets from over 75 countries in only 40 minutes (with another 130,000 locals on the waiting list). It’s more than just a festival, it is almost as if it’s a city. You can also purchase “Global Journey” tickets, where you’ll jump on board a party tomorrowland flight with live DJ sets. If that doesn’t tempt you, the aftermovie sure will.
